595 visual Ep exploring music, movements and fashion. each element of the show will be carefully curated to reflect different aspects of Divine's journey, from her childhood innocence to her confidence and power as a woman. The show explores divine’s up bringing and the creativity around her culture and birth home Congo, Highlighting the creativity of African culture.
The dance performances will embody the emotions and struggles she has experienced along the way, showcasing the different styles divine has trained and embodied through her years of training as a dancer and showcasing her ability as a choreographer. The dance piece will explore up to 5 different choreographies showcasing 5 different styles to showcase divine’s ability of choreographing different styles.
With the influence of her Congolese culture music has always been a part of her journey, the influence Congolese sound across street dance and dancehall. This inspiration has inspired divine to explore and expand her creativity pass the limitation that has been made to believe through her journey in Scotland. Divine has teamed up with Kemono as a music director to support her capture and create the sound of her home.
Fashion: the fashion will showcase her connection of fashion from her Congolese route, fashion has been a huge passionate and artform in divine’s journey. As a Congolese Scottish artist her heritage has influence her art and her work. Fashion has always been one of her strong expressions of art, using that has a force in her dance and projects. The fashion will showcase the African vibrant colours and culture, showcasing the joy and labour of her heritage and the root of her people.
Through this visual EP, Divine hopes to inspire others to embrace their own creativity and unique journey, while also shining a light on the power of self-expression through movement, music, and fashion. The show will be a celebration of all that Divine has become, and a tribute to the goddess within us all.
